FH6 Guides — Tuning, Money & Actually Useful Stuff

Tuning setups that actually work, money methods that aren't clickbait, car rankings based on real lap times — and a bunch of stuff I figured out the hard way so you don't have to.

style="display:block;min-height:90px;margin-bottom:24px"

Look, I'm not gonna pretend these are "expert guides" written by some esports driver. What you'll find here is stuff that actually works — tuning setups I've tested in actual races, money methods that don't waste your time, and car picks based on lap times not vibes. If something's wrong, hit the contact page and yell at me. If something helped, same deal I guess.

OK so here's the deal with credits. You can grind races all day and make decent money. Or you can play the auction house and make stupid money. Guess which one the rich players do? Both, actually — but the ratio matters. Get your passive income set up first, then use races to fund auction house flips. Or just drive around and have fun, that works too I guess.

Credit Farming — How to Actually Get Rich

Auction House — The Fastest Path to Wealth

Buy low, sell high. The auction house generates more credits than any race.

SnipingSpam-search rare cars with a low buyout cap. Players constantly list below market for quick sales because they're impatient. Their loss, your gain.
Seasonal holdGrab Festival Playlist reward cars during the season while everyone has them. Prices tank. Wait 2-3 weeks after the season ends and flip them for 3-5x what you paid. Easy.
Exclusive investSeries-exclusive cars — the 80% playlist completion rewards — always go up in value after the season. Buy extras early while they're cheap. This is basically free money.
Legendary perkHit Legendary painter or tuner status and suddenly you can list ANY car at the 20M buyout cap. The grind to get there is no joke (50,000 downloads/likes/uses), but once you have it the auction house becomes a money printer.
Credits Boosters
Car MasteryEvery car has a skill tree — the credits boost perks near the top are cheap to unlock and pay for themselves in like two races. Do this on every car you drive regularly.
Unbeatable AICrank the AI to Unbeatable for a +150% credits bonus. Then turn off assists one by one for even more. Even if you don't win every race the bonus usually makes up for it.
VIP PassVIP doubles every credit you earn from races — permanently. If you're going to sink 100+ hours into this game, VIP basically pays for itself in saved grind time.
WheelspinsRegular wheelspins? Go nuts, spin them whenever. Super wheelspins? Hoard those. The payout range is way higher and they're rare enough that you don't want to waste them on low-level spins where a 5K credit drop is the best outcome.
Forzathon ShopThe Forzathon shop rotates weekly. Some cars cost like 400 FP and resell for millions in the auction house. Check every week — sometimes there's an absolute gem sitting there for pocket change.
Passive Income Sources
BusinessesFinish the business story missions and they generate passive income every day — up to 60K credits daily just for logging in. Takes a few hours to unlock but then it's literally free money forever.
Car CollectionCollecting cars from the same manufacturer hits milestones that reward credits and wheelspins. You probably have a bunch of these half-complete without realizing.
AccoladesSome accolades dump huge credit payouts — check which ones are close to completion and finish them off. Free money you probably forgot about.
Daily ChallengesDaily challenges take like 2 minutes and give credits plus Forzathon Points. Zero reason not to knock these out when you log in.

🏪 Auction House Flipping — How the Rich Players Stay Rich

📉 Buy Window Timing
Thursday evenings (UTC)New Festival Playlist drops — players rush-sell last week's reward cars at bargain prices. Best buying window.
Saturday–Sunday peakHighest player count = most listings = most competition. Prices dip but sniping is harder.
Monday–Tuesday lullLowest supply. Prices rise 15–30%. Best selling window for cars bought on Thursday.
🎯 What to Flip
Festival exclusivesCars only available from weekly playlist (20–80 pts rewards). Buy during the season at 2M–5M. Sell 3 weeks later at 8M–20M.
Forzathon Shop carsSome cost only 400–800 FP. Resell at auction for 2M–8M. Check weekly.
Wheelspin-only carsHard to obtain = steady demand. Rare wheelspin drops like the 2016 Honda Civic GRC and 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STI hold value.
⚡ Sniping Technique
Search setupSet max buyout 20–50% below market. Spam: Search → Y (buyout) → B (confirm). Repeat fast. Each cycle ~3 seconds.
Horizon Backstage passUse passes to claim cars, then sell immediately. Some Backstage cars sell for 10M+ credits.
Legendary status goal50,000 downloads/uses/likes on a livery or tune = Legendary rank = sell ANY car at 20M buyout price.

XP & Influence — Level Up Without the Grind

Skill Chain Farming — The XP Engine
Best carHoonigan RS200 or BMW M6 FE — both unlock a 7× skill multiplier in their mastery tree.
Best locationDesert Basin dunes — wide open, few obstacles, ideal for chaining drifts, jumps, and wreckage.
RotationDrift → Air → Wreckage → Speed → Near Miss. Rotate skills to avoid diminishing returns.
Max output500,000 pts × 7× multiplier = 3.5M per chain, yielding ~10 skill points.

Race Types — Pick the Right Car or Suffer

Road Racing

Closed circuits on clean tarmac. Fast sweeping corners, predictable grip. Tune for cornering speed and straight-line pace. Nothing surprising here.

Best: S1 / S2 Supercars

Dirt Racing

Loose surfaces — gravel, mud, dirt roads. Your car will slide even when you don't want it to. AWD and rally tires aren't optional here, they're basically required. RWD on dirt is an exercise in frustration.

Best: Rally Cars, AWD Sports

Cross Country

No roads, just vibes. Jumps, water splashes, rocks. High suspension is mandatory unless you enjoy bottoming out every 10 seconds. Off-road tires or you're sliding everywhere.

Best: Trucks, SUVs, Buggies

Street Scene

Night racing with traffic. No barriers — civilian cars are obstacles. Grip over speed.

Best: Agile S1 / A Class

Drag Racing

Pure straight-line acceleration. Launch, gearing, tire compound — milliseconds count.

Best: Electric, AWD Monsters

Drift Zones

Scored by angle, speed, duration. Drift suspension + tires, RWD. Finesse over power.

Best: Supra, Silvia, Formula Drift

Tuning Basics — The Stuff That Actually Makes a Difference

Tire Pressure

Lower (26–28 PSI)More grip for off-road and wet conditions. Increases tire heat.
Higher (30–32 PSI)Less rolling resistance, higher top speed for dry road racing.
Starting point28 PSI front and rear, then adjust by feel.

Gearing

Shorter final driveFaster acceleration, lower top speed. Best for technical tracks.
Longer final driveHigher top speed, slower acceleration. Best for highway and Goliath.
Starting point1st–2nd short enough to control wheelspin. Top gear hits redline at max speed point on track.

Camber

Front (−0.5° to −1.5°)More negative = more corner grip, less braking stability.
Rear (−0.3° to −0.7°)Less than front for stability. Too much makes the car twitchy.
Dirt / CC tipUse less camber (−0.3° to −0.5°) since surfaces are uneven.

Anti-Roll Bars

Stiffer frontReduces understeer — front end bites into corners harder.
Stiffer rearReduces oversteer — rear stays planted under hard cornering.
Starting pointSet both to mid-range, then adjust whichever end is causing the problem.

Springs & Ride Height

Lower ride heightBetter aerodynamics, lower center of gravity. Use for road racing.
Higher ride heightBetter off-road clearance. Use for cross country and dirt.
Spring stiffnessStiffer = sharper but bumpier. Softer = more grip on rough surfaces but more body roll.

Differential

High lock (80–100%)Both wheels spin together — best for drifting and off-road.
Low lock (20–40%)Wheels spin independently — best for tight road cornering.
Sweet spot60–70% rear bias gives RWD feel with AWD grip. Best of both worlds.

Aero Downforce

More front DFReduces understeer at high speed through fast sweepers.
More rear DFAdds stability but reduces top speed. Trade carefully.
Track typeSpeed tracks: minimum downforce. Technical tracks: maximum for corner grip.
