FH6 Auction House — Master the Market
The Auction House is FH6's player-driven economy. Prices rise and fall with playlist seasons, new car releases, and community hype. Learn the patterns and you'll never be short on credits.
I've made and lost millions here. First car I flipped: seasonal exclusive bought at 200k, sold at 1.2 million three weeks later. Felt like a genius. Next car: bought at peak, price cratered next day, lost 400k. The Auction House doesn't care about your feelings — supply, demand, timing.
Understanding the Market Cycle
Every car follows roughly the same cycle. First available? Supply high, prices low. Playlist exclusive? Prices climb the week after the season ends because new supply stops. Week 3-4 post-season: prices peak. Then plateau and slowly decline as the car gets re-released.
Strategy: buy seasonal reward cars during the season when supply is high. Hold 2-3 weeks. Sell after season ends when supply hits zero. What separates profitable flippers: timing and patience. Most sell too early. Wait one more week. The price increase between week 2 and week 3 is usually bigger than week 1 to 2.
Sniping — The Fastest Way to Profit
Refresh auction listings for a specific car, buy underpriced listings instantly. You have about 0.5 seconds to recognize and buy before someone else does. Speed matters most.
Good sniping targets: newly released playlist cars listed by people who don't want them. Festival playlist completion rewards listed without checking value. Barn find restorations new players sell cheap. Bad targets: Autoshow cars (price capped at Autoshow price, no margin), common wheelspin cars, cars with buyout limits below actual value.
Learn keyboard shortcuts. Mouse to click listing, Y to open auction details, down-down-A to Buy Out. Half a second with practice. On controller: Y, down, down, A. Console sniping is slower — you'll lose auctions to PC players. Most of my serious sniping happens on PC.
Identifying Undervalued Cars
Use max buyout filter to scan for deals. Set to 50% of typical market value and see what appears. Spot a car worth more? Buy immediately — don't check livery, don't read description, just buy. Hesitation is the sniper killer.
Cars required for seasonal playlist challenges spike during that season. Check upcoming challenges (datamined, posted on Forza subreddit within hours of each update) and buy required cars before the season starts. By the time the challenge is active, you own the car and can use it or sell at the inflated price.
