FH6 Skill Points — Farm 999 Points Efficiently
Skill points unlock car mastery perks — wheelspins, credits, XP bonuses, exclusive cars. Every car has a mastery tree and some of those trees contain genuinely valuable rewards. Farming skill points efficiently is the key to maximizing your per-car value.
The skill point cap is 999. I hit it for the first time without realizing there was a cap, and wasted probably 200 points before I noticed. Don't be me. Spend your skill points regularly, especially before long free roam sessions where you'll be banking long skill chains.
How Skill Score Works
Your skill score builds from performing actions — drift, near miss, speed, wreckage, air, clean racing. Each action adds to a multiplier that caps at 7x (or higher with certain cars that have multiplier perks). The multiplier multiplies your total score. A 50,000-point chain at 7x multiplier = 350,000 skill points. Bank the chain (stop driving or change cars) and the points convert to skill points at roughly 50,000 score = 1 skill point. So a 350k chain = about 7 skill points.
The key insight: chain length matters more than individual trick value. A 7x chain of near misses (100 points each) is worth more than a 3x chain of ultimate drifts (1,000 points each). Build your multiplier first, THEN add the big-ticket skills. Start with near misses and speed on the highway, then transition to drift and wreckage once your multiplier is at 7x.
Best Skill Farming Cars
The Hoonicorn V2 (if you have it from a previous game or playlist reward) is the undisputed skill farming king. 8x multiplier cap from its mastery tree, plus drift and wreckage bonuses. With a 8x chain, a single ultimate drift is worth 8,000 points — and you can chain dozens of them on the right road.
Accessible alternatives: any Formula Drift car (7x multiplier perk in the mastery tree), the BMW M6 Forza Edition (drift skill boost), the Hoonigan RS200 (all-around skill monster). For pure highway grinding: the Bugatti Divo or Koenigsegg Jesko — max speed and near-miss potential on the highway are unmatched.
Highway Farming Route
The most efficient skill farming in FH6: the main highway running east-west across the map. Start at the western roundabout, build speed heading east. Weave through traffic for near misses (100 points each at 7x = 700 each). Clip destructible barriers and signs for wreckage. Once at 7x multiplier, start drifting between lanes. A single clean run across the highway can net 200,000-500,000 score = 4-10 skill points. U-turn at the eastern end, repeat heading west. Do this for 15 minutes and you'll have 30-50 skill points. Do it for an hour and you'll have 150+.
The highway is also where skill songs (from certain radio stations) trigger their double-points effect. If you hear a skill song start, drop everything and head to the highway immediately. Double points on a 7x chain is the fastest skill point accumulation in the game, bar none.
