Drifting in FH6 changed with the 2026 physics update. Power builds aren't enough anymore — you need the right car, the right tune, and good technique. I've tested every drift car in the game and ranked them by how easy they make high scores.
Top 5 Drift Cars in FH6
1. Formula Drift #34 Toyota Supra — Best All-Round
Tuner: KapienPL · Share Code: 842 273 196 · Class: S1 · Price: 350K credits
The best drift car in FH6 right now. Long wheelbase = stable at high angle. Enough power to break traction easily but not so much that you can't control it. Scores 800K+ on most drift zones with moderate practice. The KapienPL tune is the gold standard — balanced gearing, perfect suspension, and just the right differential lock.
2. Formula Drift #64 Nissan 370Z — Beginner Friendly
Tuner: RBM Tayga · Share Code: 559 347 201 · Class: S2 · Price: 250K credits
Easiest high-scoring drift car to learn. Comes pre-built for drifting — the RBM Tayga tune just sharpens the gearing and suspension. You don't need to fight the car, it wants to slide. If you can't drift this car, drifting might not be your thing. Capable of 1M+ combos with practice.
3. Hoonicorn Mustang — Highest Scoring
Tuner: LetzeLU · Share Code: 693 118 477 · Class: S1 · Price: 500K credits
1400 hp AWD drift monster. Capable of the highest raw scores in FH6 — 1.5M+ combos are possible. The AWD system means you can hold massive angles through entire drift zones. Downside: harder to control than the FD cars. Takes practice but pays off on the leaderboard.
4. Mazda RX-7 Spirit R — Rotary Classic
Tuner: AMS Carver · Share Code: 391 825 674 · Class: A · Price: 40K credits
Best value drift car in the game. Light nose makes it easy to initiate and hold angle. The rotary engine note is the best in the game. A class means slower speeds = more time to correct mistakes. Perfect for learning advanced techniques like feinting and clutch kicking.
5. Nissan 240SX S13 — Budget King
Tuner: Nalak28 · Share Code: 512 667 881 · Class: B · Price: 25K credits
Classic drift build for 25K credits. Low power means you don't spin out — you learn proper technique instead of relying on horsepower. The Nalak28 tune is perfect for the FH6 physics. Start here, master the fundamentals, then graduate to the FD Supra or Hoonicorn.

How to Build Your Own Drift Car
Don't want to download a tune? Here's how to build a drift car from scratch:
| Component | Setting | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Engine swap | 2JZ-GTE / Racing V8 | High rev range = easier to hold angle through corners |
| Drivetrain | RWD (never AWD for pure drift) | RWD lets the rear end rotate naturally |
| Suspension | Drift suspension | More angle, better weight transfer |
| Rear differential | Accel lock 100% / Decel lock 0% | Both wheels spin together under power, free on decel for rotation |
| Tires | Stock width | Wider tires = more grip = harder to initiate slide |
| Tire pressure | 25-28 PSI rear, 30-32 PSI front | Lower rear pressure = more contact patch = easier to control slide |
| Gearing | Short 1st/2nd, long 3rd-6th | Short gears for quick initiation, long gears to hold angle at speed |
Drift Techniques for FH6
Barrel Roll (Seasonal Objective)
The Summer 2026 Festival Playlist sometimes asks for barrel rolls. You need an off-road vehicle with high speed (120+ mph) hitting angled dirt ramps. The Ito Region canyon ramps are the best spot — approach with steering slightly into the hillside. The Canyon Chase showcase is the easiest place to get one.
Clutch Kick
Press clutch (LB) while on throttle, then release it suddenly. The RPM spike breaks rear traction instantly. Best for initiating in second gear at medium speed. Works in any RWD car.
Feint / Scandinavian Flick
Steer away from the corner first, then snap the wheel toward the apex. The weight transfer swings the rear out. Best for B and A class cars where you don't have enough power to break traction with throttle alone.
