FH6 Online Multiplayer Guide

Online racing is a different beast from solo play. AI doesn't ram you — humans do. Here's how to win.

Horizon Open Modes

Open Racing

Standard PvP racing. Rotates between Road, Dirt, Cross Country, and Street. Classes rotate too — you need a competitive car for B, A, S1, and S2.

Open Drifting

Score-based drift competition against other players. Bring your best drift build and chain long, high-angle drifts. Consistency matters more than one big score.

The Eliminator

Battle royale with cars. 50 players, shrinking arena, head-to-head races to eliminate opponents. Start with a Beetle, upgrade by beating others or finding car drops.

Horizon Tour

Cooperative racing against AI. 6 players vs 6 drivatars. No pressure, good rewards, perfect for warming up or relaxing.

Online Racing Tips

  1. Survive turn 1. The first corner of every online race is chaos. Hang back slightly, let the carnage happen ahead of you, then drive through the wreckage.
  2. Brake early, exit fast. Online races are won on corner exit, not corner entry. A clean exit with good speed beats a late brake every time.
  3. Don't retaliate. If someone rams you, don't chase them down. They'll crash themselves out eventually. Stay focused on your race.
  4. Learn the meta cars. You don't have to use them, but you need to know what you're racing against. A non-meta car with a perfect tune can still win.
  5. Tune for the track type. A Goliath tune (top speed focus) is useless on a tight city circuit. Have multiple tunes saved for each car.
