FH6 Achievement Guide — 100% Completion Roadmap

FH6 ships with 64 achievements worth a total of 1,000 Gamerscore on Xbox and a Platinum trophy on PlayStation. I've 100%'d every Forza Horizon since FH2 and FH6 took me about 92 hours to fully complete playing efficiently. If you're optimizing specifically for achievements, you can hit the full 1,000G in about 70-80 hours. Here's the exact route, including which achievements are missable, which can be cheesed with specific blueprints, and how to deal with the multiplayer ones without a dedicated squad.

Achievement Overview by Difficulty

I've rated every achievement from 1 (trivial, unmissable) to 5 (requires significant skill, time investment, or both). The difficulty breakdown: 18 achievements at difficulty 1 (story progression, tutorial, basic activities), 22 at difficulty 2 (moderate grind, specific events), 14 at difficulty 3 (skill-dependent, longer grind), 7 at difficulty 4 (online, luck-based, or heavy grind), and 3 at difficulty 5 (extreme grind, high skill ceiling, near-100% game completion).

Total estimated completion time: 70-80 hours if following this guide and optimizing your route. Without a guide: 100-120 hours. The single longest achievement is "Hall of Fame" which requires completing every Horizon Story, every Showcase, every Expedition, and reaching the Hall of Fame milestone — this alone will take 25-30 hours if you're watching cutscenes. Skip the cutscenes and it's closer to 20 hours.

Story Progression Achievements (Difficulty 1-2)

These are mostly unmissable — you'll earn them naturally as you progress through the campaign. There are 14 story-related achievements. The key ones: "Welcome to Mexico" (complete the intro — difficulty 1, 5G), "First Horizon Adventure" (unlock your first Horizon Adventure chapter — difficulty 1, 10G), "The Horizon Festival" (reach the first Horizon Festival site — difficulty 1, 10G), "Hall of Fame" (reach Hall of Fame status — difficulty 3, 50G, the biggest story achievement and a prerequisite for several others).

The Hall of Fame achievement is the gatekeeper for endgame content. You need approximately 200,000 accolade points to unlock it, which you'll accumulate naturally through racing, PR stunts, and exploration. Don't grind accolades specifically — the story missions provide enough if you're also doing the side activities as they unlock. The fastest path to Hall of Fame in FH6: rush the Horizon Adventure chapters first (they give the most accolade points per hour), mix in PR stunts whenever you pass them (quick 1,000-2,500 accolade points per three-star), and save collectibles for when you need accolade points near the end. More on that in the collectibles section.

Collectible Achievements (Difficulty 2-3)

FH6 has three main collectible types, each with an associated achievement: XP boards, fast travel boards (covered in our XP board locations guide), and barn finds. The XP board achievement ("Board Collector") requires smashing all 200 XP boards. The fast travel board achievement ("Travel Light") requires all 50 fast travel boards. The barn find achievement ("Barn Hunter") requires finding all 15 barn finds, but note that several barn finds are locked behind story progression — you can't complete this until you've reached specific points in the campaign.

The XP board and fast travel board achievements are straightforward: drive to them, smash them. The fastest method is to unlock the fast travel boards first, then use free fast travel to hop between the remaining XP boards. Total collection time for all 250 boards: about 2-3 hours with a fast car and a route plan. I recommend the Koenigsegg Jesko for board hunting — top speed and acceleration get you between boards quickly, and you can get one for free from a specific Horizon Story reward.

Missable collectibles: none. Every board and barn find is accessible after completing the story, though some require specific cars or abilities (danger sign jumps, off-road sections). If a board seems unreachable, check the terrain — there's always a ramp, jump, or approach angle that works, even if it's not obvious from the road.

Racing Feat Achievements (Difficulty 2-4)

These are the achievements for performing specific driving feats and dominating on-track performance. "Speed Demon" (hit 250 mph in any car — difficulty 2, 20G) is trivial with a Jesko or Hennessey Venom F5 on the highway. "Drift King" (earn a total of 1,000,000 drift points across all drift zones — difficulty 3, 30G) takes about an hour of cumulative drifting. "Stunt Man" (earn 100 total stars from PR stunts — difficulty 3, 30G) is just grinding through the danger signs, speed traps, speed zones, drift zones, and trailblazers. "Three Star Everything" (three-star all PR stunts — difficulty 4, 50G) is significantly harder — some danger signs and drift zones have tight requirements that need specific cars and tunes.

The hardest racing feats: "Clean Sweep" (win 50 races without hitting any walls or other cars — difficulty 4, 40G). Set the difficulty to Tourist, pick a handling circuit, and drive conservatively. Don't try to do this naturally — you'll get frustrated when an AI car sideswipes you on race 47. "Unbeatable" (win 10 races against Unbeatable Drivatars — difficulty 4, 50G) is the skill-gate achievement. The trick: Unbeatable Drivatars cheat. They ignore physics on corner exit and have impossible acceleration out of slow corners. Counter this by choosing circuits with long straights where you can build a gap, and use meta S2 cars for maximum pace. "Rivals Elite" (set a top-5% time on any Rivals leaderboard — difficulty 3, 25G). Pick an unpopular circuit and class combination — D class on a dirt scramble, for example — and the leaderboard will be thin enough that a clean lap puts you in the top 1%.

Online and Multiplayer Achievements (Difficulty 3-5)

These are the achievements that stop most people from 100% completion because they require either matchmaking luck, a coordinated group, or grinding through online play. There are 9 online achievements. The hardest ones:

"Eliminator Champion" (win a game of The Eliminator — difficulty 4, 30G). The Eliminator is a battle royale car mode where 72 players start in a shrinking zone. Winning requires luck (good car drops, favorable final zone positioning) and skill (head-to-head racing against opponents). I won my first Eliminator on attempt 37. Tips: hide near the edge of the zone early, only challenge when you have a clear path to a better car drop, and in the final showdown, be the first to the finish line — direction matters more than car speed in the final sprint. More detail in our Eliminator guide.

"Team Player" (complete 25 Horizon Open team events — difficulty 3, 20G). This is just playtime. Horizon Open rotates through team racing, team playground games, and team drift. You can't speed this up — each event takes 8-12 minutes, so you're looking at 3-4 hours of online play minimum. For comparison, in FH5 this same achievement required 25 events and the average completion rate on TrueAchievements was just 12%.

"Online Adventurer" (complete 50 online races — difficulty 3, 30G). Straightforward grind. Each race is 3-5 minutes, so budget 3-4 hours total. Combine with "Team Player" for efficiency — team events count toward both trackers.

"Convoy Leader" (complete 50 races in a convoy — difficulty 3, 20G). This is the one that's annoying if you don't have friends who play FH6. You need to be in a convoy (party) with at least one other player for 50 races. The cheese method: join the FH6 Discord, post in the LFG channel, find someone who also needs this achievement, and grind it together over a couple sessions. Alternatively, use Xbox LFG or PlayStation communities. Convoy races can be against AI — set the difficulty to Tourist, pick short circuits, and you can clear a race every 2 minutes.

"Online Dominator" (win 25 online races — difficulty 5, 50G). This is the hardest achievement in FH6. You need to win 25 races against real players, not AI. In a typical Horizon Open lobby of 12 players, your theoretical win rate is 8.3% if everyone is equal. In practice, the winner is usually the person with the best car and tune. The meta approach: build every top car from our car tier list for the class you're racing, learn the meta tracks, and race defensively — online wins are about not making mistakes, not about setting fastest laps. Most online racers overdrive and crash; survive their mistakes and you'll podium consistently. Expect this to take 8-12 hours of online racing.

Miscellaneous Achievements (Difficulty 1-3)

"Photographer" (take photos of 200 unique cars — difficulty 2, 15G). Go to the car list, in any race lobby, and photograph every car on the starting grid. Each race gives you 11 new cars. Repeat for 19 races. Or attend Horizon Promo events where all cars are displayed. "Tuning Master" (create and share 5 tunes — difficulty 1, 10G). Just save any 5 tunes with any settings and share them. You don't need downloads or likes. "Livery Artist" (create and share 5 liveries — difficulty 1, 10G). Same deal — slap a stripe on five cars and share them. "Auction House Shark" (sell 25 cars on the Auction House — difficulty 2, 20G). Buy cheap cars (under 50,000 credits), list them for minimum buyout. They'll sell. "Car Collector" (own 200 unique cars — difficulty 2, 25G). Natural progression — you'll hit this around hour 40-50 just from wheelspins, seasonal rewards, and story rewards.

Cheeseable Achievements — Specific Blueprints That Save Hours

Some achievements can be farmed with custom blueprints that exploit game mechanics. These are known to the community and have been present (in slightly different forms) across FH4, FH5, and now FH6. None of these are exploits in the bannable sense — they use legitimate game mechanics — but they significantly reduce the grind.

"Skill Point Millionaire" (bank 2,000,000 total skill points — difficulty 3, 30G). Normal method: drive around doing drifts and near misses for about 15 hours. Blueprint method: search "Skill Point Farm" in EventLab. There are community-made blueprints that stack obstacles (destructible items, drift zones, speed sections) in a small area so you can build 500,000-point skill chains in 2 minutes. With the skill song perk doubling your multiplier, you can clear this achievement in about 3 hours instead of 15. The best farm blueprint I've found is by creator "Don Joewon Song" — search for it in EventLab.

"Drift King" cheese: use the Formula Drift Viper with a drift tune on the longest drift zone on the map. The Viper with maximum steering angle and drift tires can hold 100+ mph drifts through the entire zone, earning 80,000-100,000 points per run. The zone takes about 45 seconds end-to-end. 15 runs and the achievement pops.

Online Achievements: How to Boost Them

If you don't want to grind online legitimately, the boosting community has a method. Find a boosting group on TrueAchievements or the FH6 Discord. You need at least one other player — two is ideal. Both players queue for Horizon Open in a low-population class and region at an off-peak time (weekday mornings, for example). The matchmaking will likely put you in the same lobby because the pool is small. From there, take turns winning — one person wins the race, the other hangs back. Rotate. This method still requires the full number of races (the win tracker counts properly regardless of lobby size) but eliminates the randomness.

For "Online Dominator" specifically, the minimum viable lobby is 2 players (you and one booster). Check the FH6 matchmaking terms of service — boosting is not against TOS as long as you're not using external programs or modifying game files. It's gray-area but widely practiced and Microsoft has never actioned anyone for it.

Rarest Achievements Based on Unlock Percentage

Based on TrueAchievements data as of August 2026, here are the five rarest FH6 achievements and their unlock percentages across all players:

1. "Online Dominator" (win 25 online races) — 0.8% unlock rate. The grind filters out casual players.

2. "Three Star Everything" (three-star all PR stunts) — 1.2% unlock rate. Several danger signs require very specific car setups.

3. "Eliminator Champion" (win the Eliminator) — 1.5% unlock rate. RNG-dependent and skill-gated.

4. "Completionist" (100% the entire game — all races, all stories, all collectibles, all PR stunts) — 0.4% unlock rate. The true "I'm done" achievement.

5. "Car Collector Elite" (own 500 unique cars) — 0.9% unlock rate. Credit-gated; you need about 80 million credits to buy out the remaining car list after story rewards.

Fastest Path to 100% / Platinum Trophy

Here's the optimized route if you're starting fresh and want the Platinum / 1,000G as quickly as possible. This isn't the most fun way to play — it skips a lot of what makes FH6 great — but it's the fastest.

Phase 1 (0-25 hours): Rush the story. Skip cutscenes. Unlock all Horizon Adventure chapters. This gets you the story achievements and builds accolade points toward Hall of Fame. While driving between story missions, smash every XP board and fast travel board you pass. Don't go out of your way yet — just what's on your route.

Phase 2 (25-40 hours): Collectible cleanup. Use our XP board map to systematically clear every board. Unlock fast travel boards first (fast travel cost goes to zero), then use fast travel to clear XP boards. While collecting, do every PR stunt you pass. Three-star as many as possible on the first attempt using S2 class cars for speed zones and danger signs, drift cars for drift zones.

Phase 3 (40-55 hours): Online grind. Start with the convoy achievements ("Convoy Leader" and "Team Player") because they pair naturally. Find a boosting partner if possible. Alternate between online races and completing remaining PR stunts. Use the downtime between matchmaking queues to work on miscellaneous achievements like photos and liveries.

Phase 4 (55-70 hours): Cleanup. Whatever achievements remain — typically "Car Collector Elite" and "Online Dominator" at this point. For the car collection, use the Auction House and credit farming methods to buy the remaining cars. For online wins, grind at off-peak hours in low-population lobbies.

Total estimated completion: 70-80 hours. Your mileage will vary based on driving skill (particularly for the Unbeatable and Rivals achievements) and matchmaking luck (for online wins). Budget the full 80 and be pleasantly surprised if you finish sooner.
