So tbh, Four cars. Trust me on this. Four completely different jobs. No other brand in FH6 covers this much ground , mid-engine supercar, front-engine muscle, off-road SUV, and a Baja-ready pickup truck that weighs as much as a small house. Ford doesn't do one thing. Ford does everything. And honestly that's both the best and worst thing about this lineup.

And the GT at PI 910 is the obvious halo car, a Le Mans-winning design that looks like it escaped from a wind tunnel and never looked back. Twin-turbo V6, mid-engine, active aero that actually deploys in FH6 physics , you can see the wing rise at speed if you watch the rearview. But then there's the Dark Horse at PI 805, a 500-horsepower front-engine V8 Mustang that couldn't be more different from the GT if it tried. One's a scalpel, one's a sledgehammer. And then Ford said "screw it" and threw in the Bronco Raptor at PI 720 and the F-150 Raptor R at PI 740, two vehicles that genuinely don't care about pavement. I've put serious hours into all four, because each one demands its own driving style and honestly the variety keeps things from getting stale.

So four cars across two completely different worlds , road and dirt , and the tuning potential varies wildly between them. The GT and Dark Horse want precision. The Bronco and Raptor R want chaos. You get both.

Two road cars, two off-road machines, covering S1 and A class across pavement and dirt. Playground Games could add more Fords through seasonal updates , a Focus RS or a classic GT40 would be incredible , but even as-is this lineup gives you access to race types no other single brand can match.

Driving Characteristics

So the Ford GT is mid-engine but it doesn't feel like any other mid-engine car I've driven in FH6. The active aero means downforce scales with speed in a way that feels almost unnatural at first. At 120 mph the rear end plants itself and the car just... sticks. You can take sweepers flat out that would send other S1 cars into the barrier. But below 80 mph the aero isn't doing much and suddenly you're wrestling a twitchy mid-engine car with less mechanical grip than you expect. It's a car with two personalities and the transition zone is where most people crash. Took me a solid week of practice to stop binning it on medium-speed corners.

So in my experience, But the Dark Horse is the opposite. Front engine, rear drive, and 500 horsepower that all arrives at once. The Coyote V8 doesn't build power smoothly , it wakes up around 4,500 RPM and then it's just a wall of torque. On corner exit you have to feed throttle like you're defusing a bomb. Too early and the rear steps out. Too late and the A-class field walks away. But when you get the rhythm right? The car squats, hooks up, and pulls harder than anything in its PI bracket. The steering feel is heavier than the GT, more old-school muscle car, but the chassis is modern enough to handle mid-corner corrections without totally falling apart. It's a surprisingly capable platform once you learn its power band.

And then there's the off-road pair. The Bronco Raptor at PI 720 is the lighter, more nimble of the two. Shorter wheelbase means it rotates faster in the dirt and it's actually fun on tight cross-country circuits where you're constantly changing direction. But the F-150 Raptor R at PI 740 is the one that wins races. Longer wheelbase, more stability through high-speed whoops, and the 700-horsepower supercharged V8 just bullies its way through terrain that would slow down smaller trucks. The Raptor R doesn't turn as well but it doesn't need to , it just powers through everything. I've done back-to-back testing on the Baja circuit and the Raptor R is consistently 1.2 seconds faster per lap despite being heavier. The Bronco is more fun. The Raptor R is more effective. Pick your poison.

So tire compound matters hugely on the road cars but barely matters on the off-road ones. For the GT and Dark Horse, soft compounds on technical circuits are worth half a second per lap , confirmed through five-track testing. For the Bronco and Raptor R, just run off-road tires and forget compound tuning exists. The dirt grip numbers between compounds are negligible and the only thing that matters is suspension travel and ride height. Different worlds, different rules.

But the GT runs a DCT that shifts in milliseconds. The Dark Horse has an old-school manual , slower shifts but way more satisfying. The Bronco and Raptor R use a 10-speed auto that's fine but not exciting. Shifting technique matters across all four but for completely different reasons. On the GT you're managing shift timing to stay in the power band. And on the Dark Horse you're managing clutch kick technique for rotation. On the off-road pair you're mostly just letting the gearbox do its thing while you focus on line choice.

Best Events

But the GT and Dark Horse belong on pavement, or something. Road racing circuits with medium to high-speed corners are where they earn their PI ratings. Coastal Highway, Mountain Pass, and the Guanajuato circuit all reward the GT's aero grip and the Mustang's corner-exit punch. In S1 online lobbies a well-tuned GT can genuinely fight with the meta. Not "competitive for a Ford." Competitive, period. The Dark Horse in A-class is slightly less dominant but holds its own against the RX-7s and M3s that dominate the bracket.

And street scene events work well too, especially for the GT. When you're threading through traffic and need instant direction changes, that active aero at speed gives you confidence that front-engine cars in the same PI range just don't have. The Dark Horse is less natural here , the longer braking distances and heavier steering make tight traffic gaps riskier, but the acceleration out of those gaps is brutal enough to make up for it.

Now the off-road stuff. This is where Ford does something no other brand in FH6 can touch.

But cross-country circuits. Baja-style endurance events. Any dirt track with jumps and whoops and surfaces that change three times per lap. The Bronco Raptor and F-150 Raptor R were honestly built for this and it shows. The default cross-country leaderboards are dominated by trucks and these two are near the top of every list. And the Bronco is quicker through tight technical dirt sections. But the Raptor R owns the high-speed desert runs. If you're doing the cross-country festival playlist, Ford gives you two genuine weapons for different course types.

And one warning: don't take the GT or Dark Horse off-road. The ground clearance numbers are tragic and even with rally suspension the chassis takes damage on jumps that trucks handle without flinching. And don't take the Bronco or Raptor R to a circuit race unless you enjoy watching the entire grid disappear into the distance. Match the vehicle to the surface. Ford gives you the full toolkit , use the right tool.

Tuning Guide

So ford tuning splits into two completely separate playbooks: road car logic and off-road logic. The things that make a GT faster on asphalt will ruin a Raptor R in the dirt and vice versa. Most people try to tune everything the same way and that's why their Ford builds underperform. Here's what actually works for each category.

Tire Pressure

So road cars (GT, Dark Horse): drop 2 PSI front and rear for technical circuits. The extra contact patch helps mid-corner stability and the GT in particular benefits because its aero grip compounds with mechanical grip. Bump up 1 PSI for highway sprints and top-speed circuits where rolling resistance matters more than cornering. Off-road (Bronco, Raptor R): drop 3 PSI all around. Off-road tires need the flex for bite on loose surfaces and lower pressure helps absorb small bumps before they reach the suspension. You won't feel the difference in turn-in because dirt doesn't have turn-in. You'll feel it in how much speed you carry through bumpy sections.

Suspension

So road cars: stock springs are too stiff for FH6 roads. Soften by 10 percent front and rear. The GT specifically: stiffen the front anti-roll bar by two clicks, leave the rear alone. It already rotates well and more rear bar just makes it snap on entry. The Dark Horse: one click softer front bar, one click stiffer rear. Kills the understeer without making it nervous. Off-road: max out ride height, soften springs by 20 percent from stock, and set damping to about 60 percent of the stiffness range. Off-road suspension is about travel, not precision. The Raptor R especially benefits from a softer rear setup that lets the back end squat and dig in under power.

Differential

So aWD conversion on the GT: center diff at 70 percent rear bias. The car already has good rear grip from the aero and you want to preserve rotation. Dark Horse on RWD: 100 percent rear, acceleration lock at 80 percent, deceleration at 25 percent. More lock on accel than most cars because the Coyote's torque spike needs help getting to the ground evenly. Off-road AWD: center diff at 50/50. Full lock. Off-road differentials need to send power wherever it finds grip and open diffs in the dirt are a disaster. Both the Bronco and Raptor R want maximum lock front and rear for cross-country events.

Gearing

So gT: shorten final drive by 12 percent. The stock ratios are built for a 200-plus mph top speed that only matters on one highway in the entire map. Shortening gets you into the power band faster out of every corner and you'll stop hitting the rev limiter at awkward moments. Dark Horse: 10 percent shorter final drive. The Coyote's torque curve is peaky enough that falling out of the power band costs more time than on a flat-torque engine. Off-road: lengthen final drive by 5 percent. Dirt speed is lower than pavement speed but the Raptor R specifically runs out of gear on long desert straights. A slightly taller final drive keeps it pulling through the top end of cross-country courses.

Brakes

So race brakes on everything. Even the off-road trucks. People skip brakes on off-road builds because "you don't brake much in the dirt" and that's exactly wrong. Off-road braking distances are longer because grip is lower, which means every meter of stopping power matters even more. On the road cars, race brakes let you brake 10 meters deeper into every corner and that compounds into real lap time. Braking later is the cheapest lap time you'll ever buy. Handling mods first, weight second, power third, and brakes somewhere in the handling bucket where they belong.

Rival Comparison

So ford is one of the American brands in FH6 and it's the only one that spans both road and off-road. Compared to Chevrolet, the GT is more planted at high speed than the Corvette Z06 , active aero does real work , but the Z06 is sharper on corner entry because it carries less weight over the front axle. The Dark Horse versus the Camaro ZL1 is a closer fight. The Camaro has slightly better front-end bite but the Mustang pulls harder from 60 to 120 and that's where most A-class battles are won or lost.

But honestly though, the real comparison isn't Ford versus other American brands. It's Ford versus itself. The GT and Dark Horse are two completely different approaches to going fast on pavement. One rewards smoothness and aero management. One rewards throttle discipline and bravery on corner exit. Run them back to back on the same circuit and you'll figure out which philosophy you belong to within three laps. And then the off-road pair adds a whole different dimension that honestly no other brand can offer. The stopwatch is the only judge that matters and Ford gives you four different ways to stop it.

But if any of these four are seasonal rewards or wheelspin exclusives, that's where the real grind starts. No guaranteed pull method for wheelspin vehicles and I say this as someone who has burned through millions of credits chasing specific cars.

And the auction house is the backup plan. Weekends have more listings and prices dip when supply spikes. But seasonal reward Fords rotate on PG's schedule and when a Ford shows up in the playlist you need to grab it that week. Miss it and you risk months of waiting. I've missed the Bronco rotation twice and the regret is real. Set a reminder. Don't skip it. Common Tuning Mistakes

And power before everything. The #1 Ford tuning mistake and it's worse here than most brands because the cars are so different. A 1,500-horsepower GT that can't put power down through any gear is a sculpture, not a race car. And a 1,000-horsepower Raptor R with no suspension work will just bounce itself off the track. Traction is the bottleneck for lap times on every single one of these cars. Tires and suspension first. Always.

So using road tuning logic on off-road vehicles. I see this constantly and it drives me crazy. Softening springs by 10 percent is great for a Mustang on pavement. It's useless for a Bronco Raptor in the dirt where you need 20 percent softer and max ride height and completely different damper settings. The physics don't translate between surfaces. Treat your road cars and off-road cars as completely separate tuning projects and you'll stop wasting hours on builds that don't work.

But weight reduction. The thing everyone skips and it matters disproportionately on Fords because they start heavy. The GT is already light for its class but the Dark Horse, Bronco, and Raptor R all carry significant bulk. Cutting 100 kilos from a Dark Horse improves braking, cornering, and acceleration all at once. That's three performance dimensions improved by one modification. Adding 50 horsepower improves one dimension. The math isn't complicated but nobody does it. Handling mods first, weight reduction second, power dead last. This order produces fast cars. Any other order produces garage queens.
