FH6 Beginner Guide — Start Your Forza Journey

New to Forza Horizon? This guide covers everything: first car, best early races, credits farming, tuning basics, and common mistakes to avoid.

Your First Hour in FH6

1
Pick any starter car — you can't go wrong. Unlike older Forza games, FH6 gives you strong starter options in every class. Pick what looks fun, not what a tier list says.
2
Complete the initial showcase events first. These unlock the main festival sites and give you a feel for different race types. Don't skip the tutorial — it hands you free cars.
3
Don't spend credits immediately. The game throws free cars at you in the first few hours. Save your credits until you understand what you actually need.
4
Adjust difficulty to your comfort. Start with Average or Above Average. You can change it anytime. The difficulty bonus means more credits, but winning > losing with a bonus.

Car Classes & When to Use Them

🟤 D Class (100-500)

Classic cars, starter vehicles. Slow but great for learning tracks without assists. Use in early game.

🟢 C Class (501-600)

Solid early-game cars. Good handling, manageable speed. Ideal for learning manual shifting.

🔵 B Class (601-700)

The sweet spot for most players. Fast enough to be fun, controllable enough to not crash constantly.

🟡 A Class (701-800)

Performance cars. Rewards good driving but punishes mistakes. Most online racing happens here.

🟠 S1 Class (801-900)

Supercars. Very fast, requires quick reflexes. Not recommended for your first week.

🔴 S2 Class (901-998)

Hypercars. Extreme speed. Fun to drive in free roam, punishing in races until you're experienced.
