FH6 Overtaking — Pass Clean, Win Races
Overtaking in FH6 is mostly psychological. The physical pass is the last 10%. The first 90% is positioning, pressure, and waiting for the driver ahead to crack.
Setting Up the Pass
Stay within 0.3 seconds — the pressure zone. Close enough they see you in the mirror, not so close you're drafting. A driver who sees you for three consecutive corners starts making micro-mistakes. Late braking. Early turn-in. Defensive lines that compromise exit speed. Wait. The mistake will come.
Don't dive-bomb from three car lengths back. Works against AI, gets you turned around against humans. The clean overtake comes from being in position when they make a mistake, not creating a gap that doesn't exist.
Defending Cleanly
One defensive move per straight. Pick inside or outside and commit. Weaving to block both lines = reportable. If the attacker is alongside at turn-in, the corner is theirs. Yield and set up a re-pass. Dying on one corner loses more time than giving it up and taking it back.
