FH6 Racing Line — Find the Fastest Way Through Every Corner
The racing line isn't one universal path. It changes based on your car, the corner, what comes after the corner, and whether you're overtaking or defending.
Late Apex — The Fast Exit Line
Turn in later, hit apex closer to exit. This opens up your exit angle, letting you get on throttle earlier and carry more speed onto the following straight. The trade-off: slower entry. The payoff: exit speed compounds down the entire straight. 3 mph faster at exit becomes half a second by the straight's end.
Late apex is correct for any corner leading onto a straight. Which is most corners on most tracks.
Early Apex — Only for Specific Situations
Turn in early, hit apex at geometric middle, run wide on exit. Forces you to wait longer before applying throttle. Only use when overtaking and need to get alongside before the apex, or when the corner leads directly into another corner where exit speed doesn't matter.
Corner Sequencing
Corners don't exist in isolation. A series must be treated as a sequence. Sometimes the fastest line sacrifices one corner to optimize the next. A chicane where clean line through both is slower than aggressive first corner slingshotting through the second.
