FH6 Legendary Cars: The Rarest & Most Valuable Vehicles
Published: May 14, 2026 · 8 min read
What Makes a Car "Legendary"?
In Forza Horizon 6, cars are classified by rarity tiers: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Legendary-tier cars are the rarest and most valuable vehicles in the game. They typically have special historical significance, extreme real-world value, exclusive availability, or unique performance characteristics. Many Legendary cars cannot be purchased from the Autoshow and are only obtainable through specific means — Festival Playlist rewards, Wheelspins, Barn Finds, Story completions, or the Auction House.
This guide lists every Legendary-tier car in FH6 as of Series 1, explains how to obtain each one, their approximate market value, and whether they are worth grinding for.

How to Get Legendary Cars: Method Breakdown
Barn Finds (4 Legendary Cars)
Four of the 15 Barn Find cars are Legendary tier: Ferrari 250 GTO, McLaren F1, Lamborghini Miura, and Mercedes-Benz 300SL. These are all free to acquire — you just need to meet the rumour triggers and drive to the location. The Ferrari 250 GTO requires the most effort (all barn finds + Level 100), but it is also the most valuable car in the game. See our dedicated Barn Finds guide for exact locations and trigger conditions.
Festival Playlist Exclusives
Each Series introduces 2-3 new Legendary cars as playlist rewards. These are time-limited — once the Series ends, the cars become unavailable until they return in a future playlist (typically 6-12 months later) or appear in Wheelspins. The 80% completion reward is usually a returning Legendary, while the 100% completion reward is a brand-new exclusive. Check the Festival Playlist tab each Thursday to see what is available.
Wheelspin / Super Wheelspin Only
The "Holy Trinity" of hybrid hypercars — LaFerrari, McLaren P1, and Porsche 918 Spyder — are Wheelspin-exclusive. You cannot buy them from the Autoshow. Your best bet is to accumulate Super Wheelspins through Car Mastery perks (buy the 1998 Toyota Supra RZ for 60k credits and unlock its Super Wheelspin perk for 4 Skill Points — this is the most efficient Wheelspin farming method in the game).
Horizon Story Rewards
Completing specific Horizon Stories at 100% rewards Legendary cars. The Porsche 917K (Legends of Le Mans) and Aston Martin DB5 Goldfinger (Cinema on Wheels) are standouts. These stories take 2-4 hours to complete and the cars are guaranteed — no RNG involved.
Autoshow Purchases
A few Legendary cars can be bought directly from the Autoshow: the Koenigsegg Jesko (2.8M), Mercedes-AMG ONE (2.7M), and Rimac Concept Two (2.4M). These are expensive but available to anyone with enough credits. If you see them on the Auction House for less than the Autoshow price, buy them immediately — they are being sold at a loss by players who won them in Wheelspins.
Which Legendary Cars Are Worth Grinding For
Must-Have (Priority 1)
- Ferrari 250 GTO — Free through Barn Finds, worth 15-20M credits on the Auction House. This is the single best value car in the game. Do the Barn Finds.
- Ferrari F40 Competizione — If it is the current 100% Series reward, grind for it. This car is one of the best handling cars in the entire game and will likely remain a top meta car for S1 class road racing throughout FH6's lifecycle.
- McLaren F1 — Free Barn Find, excellent for S1 road racing and speed traps. Do the Hypercar Evolution story.
- Porsche 917K — Do the Le Mans story. Incredible for its class and a joy to drive.
Worth Getting (Priority 2)
- Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ — When available, grab it. The fastest production car in the game.
- McLaren P1 / LaFerrari / 918 Spyder — The holy trinity. Grind Wheelspins. They are essential for S2 class racing.
- Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 — Playlist exclusive. Great S1 car and will appreciate in value.
- Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale — Barn Find. Beautiful, rare, and valuable. Collect 100 cars to unlock it.
Collector Items (Priority 3)
- Aston Martin DB5 Goldfinger — Fun for cruising but not competitive in any race class.
- Jaguar D-Type — Historical significance but limited racing use.
- Ferrari 512 TR — Only if you are a Ferrari collector. Not a meta car.
Market Value Trends
Legendary car values on the Auction House follow predictable patterns:
- Week 1 of a new Series: Prices are highest as demand peaks. If you have a previous Series exclusive, this is the best time to sell.
- Week 3-4 of a Series: Prices dip slightly as players have had time to complete the playlist and acquire the cars.
- End of Series: Prices bottom out as players flood the market with duplicates. Good time to buy.
- 2-3 months after a Series ends: Prices start climbing as supply dries up. The best time to sell.
- Return to playlist: When a car returns to the Festival Playlist, prices crash by 50-70% overnight. Sell before the Series starts if you know a car is returning.
Tips for Collecting Legendary Cars
- Always complete the Festival Playlist to 80% — this guarantees you get the seasonal exclusive Legendary. Even if you do not want the car, you can auction it for millions.
- Save Super Wheelspins — Do not spin them immediately. Save 10-20 Super Wheelspins and open them in one session. The game's RNG seems to cluster rare drops in short windows (this is anecdotally observed, not officially confirmed, but many players report better results with bulk openings).
- Buy duplicates of cheap Legendary cars — If you get a second 250 GTO or McLaren F1 from a Wheelspin, do not sell it immediately. Prices appreciate over time. Hold for 3-6 months.
- Check the Forzathon Shop weekly — Occasionally, Legendary cars appear in the shop for Forzathon Points. The Bugatti Chiron has appeared twice in the shop for 600 FP each time — a steal compared to its 8M Auction House price.
- Do not sleep on Horizon Stories — Four Legendary cars are locked behind story completions. Each story takes 2-4 hours and guarantees a Legendary car worth millions. That is a better time-to-value ratio than any other activity in the game.
