Seasons in FH6 run on a four-week cycle. Each season introduces one or two exclusive cars as Festival Playlist rewards, plus additional cars available through weekly challenges, The Trial, and seasonal championships. Miss a season and those cars go to the Auction House at prices that'll make you regret skipping a week. This guide tracks what's been offered, what's still available, and which exclusives you should prioritize.
The Festival Playlist operates on a points system. Each activity — seasonal championships, PR Stunts, The Trial, Playground Games, and the weekly photo challenge — awards points toward two reward thresholds: 20 points for the first seasonal car and 40 points for the second. You don't need to complete every activity to hit 40 points. About 70% completion per season is usually enough, as long as you knock out the high-value activities (The Trial is worth 10 points alone).
How Exclusive Cars Work
"Exclusive" in FH6 means the car cannot be purchased from the Autoshow. These cars enter the game as seasonal rewards, Forzathon Shop rotations, or Backstage Pass vouchers. Once you earn an exclusive, it's yours permanently — it stays in your garage across seasons and can be driven in any event. If you miss an exclusive, your options are the Auction House or waiting for it to cycle back (which can take months).
Some exclusives are one-and-done. The "Hard-to-Find" tag on a car means Playground Games considers it a collector's item, and it won't appear in the Autoshow ever. These cars typically debut as the 40-point seasonal reward and then rotate into the Forzathon Shop or Backstage Pass queue months later. The rarest exclusives — Evolving World reward cars tied to specific story chapters — may never return at all once their associated content season concludes.
Tracked Seasonal Rewards
FH6 launched with a strong set of opening-season rewards. The Series 1 Summer season introduced the Gordon Murray T50 as the top-tier exclusive, a car that immediately became an S2 handling benchmark. The Series 1 Autumn season followed with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992), which dominated A-class circuit racing for months. Each subsequent season has layered in new exclusives while rotating older ones through the Forzathon Shop.
Notable past exclusives include the Lamborghini Sian Roadster (Series 2), Ferrari 250 GTO (Series 3 — one of the most expensive cars in FH6 history when it hit the Auction House), Koenigsegg CCGT (Series 4), Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (Series 5), and the Rimac Nevera Time Attack edition (Series 6). The 250 GTO in particular reached 20 million credits on the Auction House within a week of its season ending. If you see a classic Ferrari as a seasonal reward, earn it. The Auction House markup on vintage exotics is always astronomical.
Which Exclusives Are Must-Haves
Not all exclusives are created equal. Some are collector bait — rare but not competitive in any class. Others define the meta for an entire PI bracket. The seasonal cars you should absolutely prioritize are the ones that show up on competitive leaderboards. The Mosler MT900S (a recurring exclusive or Autoshow car depending on the season) is an S2 meta staple. The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento and Ferrari FXX-K Evo appear as seasonal rewards periodically and are both competitive in S2. The Toyota Trueno GT Apex is a drift zone monster in A class. The Hoonigan RS200 is the best all-around off-road vehicle in S1.
For collectors: cars with limited production real-world counterparts tend to have the highest Auction House value. The Ferrari 250 GTO, McLaren F1, Porsche 356 Speedster, and Jaguar E-Type Lightweight all command premium prices. If you already have competitive cars covered, these are the investments to target.
Seasonal Championship Strategy
The seasonal championships rotate weekly and each requires a specific car restriction — usually a PI class plus a theme. Before the season starts, check the upcoming restrictions (they're visible in the Festival Playlist a day or two before the season change). Pre-building cars for known restrictions saves you scrambling on Thursday afternoon. Keep one competitive tune per class for each theme: modern sports cars, retro muscle, classic racers, off-road, and JDM. Five cars can cover roughly 80% of seasonal championship restrictions.
The Trial is the weekly cooperative event and it awards 10 Festival Playlist points — the single largest chunk. It pits a team of human players against Unbeatable drivatars. The key to The Trial is consistency, not speed. You don't need to win the race; the team needs to outscore the AI across all races. Finishing mid-pack without ramming your teammates off the road contributes more than diving into turn one from tenth and causing a pileup. Bring a car you can drive clean for three laps, not the car that's theoretically fastest but impossible to control.
Forzathon Shop Rotations
The Forzathon Shop refreshes weekly and often includes past seasonal exclusives. Prices range from 100 to 1,000 Forzathon Points depending on rarity. You earn Forzathon Points from the weekly Forzathon challenge (60 points weekly), hourly Forzathon Live events (30 per event), and daily challenges (10 each). The weekly challenge alone is enough for most shop purchases if you're selective. Don't spend Forzathon Points on wheelspins or clothing — save them for exclusives and Backstage Passes.
Upcoming Season Predictions
Based on FH5's seasonal cadence and FH6's early pattern, expect major content drops around holidays and game anniversaries. The winter holiday season typically brings a month of high-value exclusives. The spring season often introduces new Evolving World cars tied to a map expansion or story chapter. Series updates that coincide with real-world automotive events — Goodwood Festival of Speed, Monterey Car Week, SEMA — usually feature cars from those events as seasonal rewards.
Playground Games typically announces the next Series' featured cars through social media and the Forza Monthly livestream about a week before the new Series starts. Following the official Forza Horizon channels is the best way to plan ahead.
