FH6 Drafting — Slipstream Your Way to Faster Laps
Drafting reduces aerodynamic drag by following closely behind another car. Worth 3-8 mph of top speed. Use it to slingshot past or hit speed trap targets.
Slingshot Pass
Stay in draft until 200-300m before braking zone. Pull out to inside. Speed advantage carries you alongside. Out-brake into the corner. Classic oval-racing overtake. Pull out too early = lose draft before alongside. Too late = committed to inside at a speed you can't brake from.
Tandem Drafting
Two cars drafting each other are faster than either alone. Trade the lead position lap by lap to gap the field, then fight for the win on the last lap. The enemy of my enemy is my drafting partner.
For PR stunts: draft a friend or fast AI car through speed traps for the extra 5-8 mph that separates 2 stars from 3 stars on several FH6 traps.
