Quality mode on Series S runs at 1440p 30fps with simplified ray tracing. Resolution Scaling
Dynamic Resolution Scaling (DRS) is your best friend for maintaining a stable frame rate. Set a target FPS and the game automatically adjusts internal resolution to stay there. We recommend enabling DRS with a 60fps target on all but the highest-end GPUs. The visual hit is far less jarring than sudden frame drops.
Anisotropic Filtering
This setting sharpens ground textures at oblique angles. Set it to 16x regardless of your hardware — the performance cost is essentially zero, and the visual improvement on road surfaces and grass is substantial.
Shadow Quality
Shadows have a moderate performance impact. High looks excellent and costs about 5-8% performance versus Medium. Ultra adds very little visible improvement for a larger GPU hit. Our recommendation: High on most GPUs, Medium on budget builds.
Reflections & SSR
Screen Space Reflections (SSR) handle reflections on car bodies and wet surfaces. Medium is a good baseline. High and Ultra add reflective detail to more surfaces but cost significant GPU time. If you are struggling to hit 60fps, dropping SSR to Medium is one of the most effective changes you can make (15-20% performance gain in rainy scenes).
Ambient Occlusion
Adds contact shadows where objects meet. SSAO (low) is lightweight and looks fine. HBAO+ (high) adds more depth but costs ~8% performance. We suggest SSAO for 60fps targets and HBAO+ if you have headroom.
Tessellation
Adds geometric detail to terrain and roads. The difference between High and Extreme is marginal in gameplay. Keep it on High — Extreme eats GPU cycles for barely perceptible gains.

Controller Settings
Fine-tuning your controller can improve your lap times and comfort significantly.
Vibration
Keep it On. The haptic feedback in FH6 conveys road surface changes, curb strikes, and traction loss through the controller. It is immersive and genuinely useful for feel-based driving.
Trigger Effects
Enabled by default on Xbox controllers. The right trigger pulses when ABS engages, and the left trigger vibrates under heavy braking. This is one of the most underrated features for improving braking consistency.
Steering Sensitivity
