Achievement Categories Breakdown

The 82 achievements are divided into 7 categories. Here is the full breakdown with difficulty ratings:

Story Achievements (15)

Story achievements are tied to completing Horizon Stories and the main campaign chapters. These are generally straightforward and can be completed in any order. Most take 10-15 hours total. Highlights include:

• "Welcome to Mexico" — Complete your first race in the opening chapter
• "Storyteller" — Complete 5 Horizon Stories to 100%
• "Completionist" — 100% all 12 Horizon Stories (one of the hardest in the game)
• "Chapter Master" — Earn 3 stars on every story chapter

Exploration Achievements (12)

Exploration rewards you for discovering what Mexico has to offer. These are mostly passive achievements that unlock naturally as you drive around the map.

• "Cartographer" — Discover all roads on the map
• "Bona Fide Explorer" — Visit all 10 Biomes
• "Daredevil" — Complete all Danger Signs at 3 stars

Car Collection Achievements (10)

Building your garage is a core part of Forza Horizon 6. These achievements reward car accumulation and upgrades.

Hardest Achievements & How to Beat Them

Perfect Storm

Win all street races in wet conditions. This requires waiting for the right weather. Street races are scattered across the map, and you need to complete each one while it is actively raining. The dynamic weather system in FH6 makes this unpredictable.

• Strategy: When rain starts, immediately fast-travel to the nearest unfinished street race. Prioritize short circuits that can be completed quickly before the rain stops.
• Car setup: Use an A-class all-wheel-drive vehicle with wet-weather tires for maximum grip in the rain.

Completionist

100% all 12 Horizon Stories. Each story has multiple chapters with optional bonus objectives. Missing even one bonus objective means you do not get 100% for that story.

• Strategy: Before starting a story chapter, check the bonus objective list. Replay chapters from the menu if you miss any. Use a dedicated guide for each story to track objectives.

Living Legend

Reach Hall of Fame Level 5. This requires massive amounts of influence (XP). It is a pure grind.

Speedrun Tips for 40-50 Hour Completion

With smart planning, you can clean up all 82 achievements in about 40-50 hours. Here is the optimal route:

1. Hours 1-5: Complete the main campaign and all Horizon Stories on Normal difficulty. Do not skip bonus objectives. Explore roads while driving between events.
2. Hours 5-15: Focus on racing achievements. Target each discipline. Watch the weather forecast for "Perfect Storm" opportunities.
3. Hours 15-25: Multiplayer grind. Complete Horizon Open events. Organize a convoy session for "Convoy Leader." Build and share liveries for "Painted."
4. Hours 25-35: Car collection. Spend credits on affordable cars first. Grind Wheelspins through influence farming. Use the Auction House for discounts.
5. Hours 35-50: Cleanup. Tackle photographer achievements, missing Danger Stars, remaining influence for Living Legend, and the 10,000-mile driving achievement.

Missable Achievements

Most FH6 achievements can be unlocked at any time, but a few are tied to limited-time Festival Playlist events:

• Seasonal Event achievements — Each Festival Playlist season has 1-2 exclusive achievements. If you miss a season, you will need to wait for that season to return in the rotation cycle (approximately 2-3 months).
• Online-only events — Some multiplayer events only appear during specific playlist rotations. Check the Festival Playlist tab weekly.

Platinum Trophy Requirements (PlayStation)

PlayStation players have one additional meta-goal: the Platinum Trophy. To earn it, you must unlock all 81 other trophies (the Platinum is the 82nd). The hardest trophies for the Platinum are the same as on Xbox — "Perfect Storm," "Completionist," and "Living Legend."

One notable difference: PlayStation does not have achievement tracking overlays like Xbox's achievement tracker. You will need to manually track your progress for cumulative achievements like "Garage King" and "Marathon."
