Barn finds are FH6's treasure hunt mechanic — abandoned classic cars hidden in barns across the map that you discover through rumors, locate, and then restore over real time. They're some of the rarest cars in the game, and several of them are unobtainable any other way. You can't buy them from the Autoshow, they never show up in Wheelspins, and they're not seasonal rewards. Barn finds are the only route to owning them. Missing one means missing it forever.

Barn Find Rumor System — How It Works

Barn finds unlock through a rumor system. As you progress through the game, you'll receive radio messages from Alex telling you there's a rumor about a rare car in a specific region. A purple circle appears on your map — not the exact barn, just the search zone. You drive into the zone and a drone highlight appears above the barn when you get within about 200 meters. Once found, the barn is permanently marked. You interact with it, the car gets hauled off to the restoration garage, and a timer starts.

The key detail most guides miss: rumors are gated behind story progression, season changes, and specific event completions. You can't just drive to a barn and find the car before the rumor triggers — the barns exist before the rumor, but there's no interaction prompt. Some barn finds require you to own specific houses, some require you to complete specific showcase events, and a few require you to be in a specific season. The order you receive rumors is semi-random, but certain barns are always among the first group and others are always among the last.

• 1954 Jaguar XK120 — In the cluster of farms east of the main swamp area. Look for a barn with a partially collapsed roof behind the farmhouse. Unlocks: Early story, first barn find for most players.
• 1968 Ford Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback — West edge of the swamp, near the dirt road that runs along the treeline. Hidden behind overgrown hedges. Unlocks: Reach level 3 in any racing discipline.

Tierra Prospera Region (Farmland / Central)

• 1963 Volkswagen Beetle — Southeast corner of the farmland, in a small barn next to a grain silo visible from the main road. Unlocks: Complete the first expedition.
• 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 — Northwestern farmland, in a red barn behind a white farmhouse with a windmill. Unlocks: Win any street race event.

El Desierto Region (Desert / Northwest)

• 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona — South of the solar farm, tucked into a rock formation. The barn is half metal, half natural cave. Unlocks: Reach level 5 in speed skills.
• 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS — Western edge of the desert, near the canyon road. Look for an abandoned gas station — the barn is behind it. Unlocks: Complete 10 speed zone challenges.

La Selva Region (Jungle / Southwest)

• 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO — Deep in the jungle, follow the river upstream from the waterfall. The barn is on the eastern riverbank, heavily hidden by foliage. Unlocks: Complete the Horizon Adventure chapter 4 and own the jungle house.
• 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air — Southern jungle edge, where the vegetation meets the farmland. Look for a clearing with an old tractor next to the barn. Unlocks: Complete 5 danger sign jumps.

Volcán Region (Volcano / Northeast)

• 1987 Buick Regal GNX — Eastern slope of the volcano, in a barn built into the hillside itself. Hard to spot from the road — look for tire tracks leading off the main road. Unlocks: Reach level 10 in drag racing.
• 1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe — Foothills north of the volcano, in a pristine red barn with white trim. You'll see it from the main highway. Unlocks: Complete the final showcase event.

Ciudad Region (City / Central-North)

• 2005 Ford GT — Industrial district, in a warehouse that counts as a "barn." Look for a chain-link fence with a gap near the container yard. Unlocks: Reach Hall of Fame.
• 1997 Toyota Supra RZ — Eastern suburbs, in a garage behind a run-down house. Unlocks: Complete the street racing championship.

Costa Region (Coast / West)

• 1967 Lamborghini Miura P400 — Cliffside barn overlooking the ocean on the western coastal road. Unlocks: Drive 100 miles total in Italian cars.
• 1985 Lancia Delta S4 — Northern coastal area, in a barn hidden behind a row of beach houses. Unlocks: Complete 10 trailblazer events.

Restoration Time and Cost

Once you find a barn find car, it goes to the restoration garage. Restoration time ranges from 15 minutes to 24 real-time hours depending on the car's rarity and age. The oldest and rarest cars take the longest. You can pay credits to instantly complete restoration, and the cost scales with the car's value:

• Common barn finds (VW Beetle, Mustang): ~25,000 credits to skip, ~15-30 minutes naturally
• Rare barn finds (Charger Daytona, Bel Air, Supra): ~75,000 credits to skip, ~2-4 hours naturally
• Legendary barn finds (Ferrari 250 GTO, Shelby Cobra Daytona): ~250,000 credits to skip, ~18-24 hours naturally

You can have multiple barn finds restoring simultaneously. The garage handles them independently. If you're hunting the full collection, start the long restorations first and let them tick down while you hunt for the remaining barns. There's no reason to pay the skip cost unless you need a specific car immediately for a seasonal championship.
