D Class (PI 100-500) is FH6's slowest class and the one most players skip. That's a mistake. D Class racing is pure — no downforce tricks, no horsepower arms race, just fundamental driving skill.
Top D Class Cars
Honda S800 — undisputed D Class king. Light, rev-happy, surprisingly capable on tight circuits. Reliant Supervan — meme pick that actually works with enormous straight-line speed. '86 Honda Civic and Abarth 131 are solid alternatives. The pattern: lightweight, good stock handling, enough PI headroom for tire and weight reduction upgrades.
Build Strategy
Weight reduction first. Always. At D Class speeds, weight matters more than power — you're accelerating more than cruising at top speed. Then tires (street or sport, can't afford race). Mild power bump if PI allows. Suspension is a luxury — only if budget remains after tires and weight. Skip aero entirely at these speeds.
